In her latest post for us, “Demystifying DevOps — A Peek Behind the Digital Transformation Curtain,” Paganini writes:

Digital transformation is being driven by customer, partner, and supplier interactions that are increasingly moving into the digital realm. Customers, spoiled by fast and reliable interactions provided by cloud-born innovators like Netflix, Uber, or Monzo (a cloud-born UK bank), now demand the same level of convenience from more traditional enterprises. Today, software has become a key strategic business differentiator, and its fast, reliable, and convenient delivery are at the core of digital transformation.

In simple terms, DevOps is the methodology that enables this fast, frequent, and uninterrupted service delivery and cloud native technologies make such a methodology possible.

We discuss the challenges of going down this road of DevOps, and why it is such a challenge to many.

Then, later in the show, we talk about some of the top stories for the day, including a new Kubernetes scanning tool that looks not for software vulnerabilities but for incorrect configurations, a supposedly easier approach for managing Kafka data streams, and the notion that some developers embrace clean code practices too fervently.
